suzanneSuzanne Schmidt is a writer, poet and teacher. Her short story “The Un-BEAR-able Road Trip” is published in “Canadian Voices Volume II,” an anthology published by Bookland Press. Her short story "Until We Meet Again," won a WCDR Word Weaver prose competition and is published in the July/August issue. Her short story "Age Aint Nuthin But a Number" is published in "Oasis Journal 2010." With this incredible jump-start, she is launching her professional writing career. Suzanne graduated from Trent University obtaining a Bachelor of Arts  and from York University with a Bachelor in Education. She has been teaching in Elementary Schools for over 16 years. Suzanne has also obtained a Specialist Degree in Reading and Special Education, and her Principals Qualifications. She is an active member of The Writers’ Circle of Durham Region and The Ontario Poetry Society. Suzanne is married with two girls and is expecting her first grandchild in early October.
